So Big

Mother and baby orangutan. I'll list it tomorrow. Going with Molly to see,"The Other Boleyn Sister" or something like that.
I saw a segment on Etsy on Martha Stewart today. There are almost a million people signed on to Etsy. My little things will drown in the crowd if I don't promote myself. I'm such a natural recluse that would be hard to do.

That's it for Tonight.

I haven't sculpted much today. I've started a pair of orangutans, mother and baby.
I see someone is in the process of buying my "Cupcake Tree". Good.
More snow.Bad.

Boobies

The Blue Footed Booby's mating ritual consists of lifting one foot after the other and finishing it off with a flourish. So cute. I have to make the male stand on one foot. He will be on a nail rather than wire. I hope it works.

Chandelier

I'm making a chandelier. It's a challenge because I haven't done much with beads. It'll go in my Peeps diorama. The table and one chair are on the left.
Truman(the dog) is happy as a clam. Tubring(the band) is sleeping here and he is sleeping in the middle of them because he LOVES company. It's one big slumber party to him. Many hands to pet him. He likes other people better than he likes us, and he likes us a lot.

Peeps

Today I've started on my Peeps diorama. I would have started sooner, but Peeps didn't come out until Valentine's day was over.
I just made a little table. Next, Little chairs.
Peeps, Peeps, Peeps. I think a lot of their charm is their name. I haven't had the desire to eat one for years.

Killer Scotties

I am awake waaay to late. Blogging is similar to sculpting in that it's like talking to yourself.
I'll put this on etsy tomorrow. Goodnight.

Sunset

We did go to Ikea and got glass for my workspace. It's not as large as I would have liked, but it will do. It'll be much easier to keep clean. If it were ceramic clay, cleanliness wouldn't matter. I used to work with stoneware in my garage, but that was Florida. Minnesota is to cold to consider as a workspace. I still have a kiln that I've been toting all over the country. I haven't used it in years, but I don't want to get rid of it.
Right now, polymer clay suits me just fine.

Clean Cat

Here is a cat. Next, I'll glue the top of the base to the bottom, photograph it, and put it on Etsy.
The thing in the upper left hand corner is a microscope. There is a Luxo lamp next to that. Together they help me see my pieces better and to drive me crazy showing me minute pieces of lint that stick to the clay.
Tomorrow I want to go to Ikea and get a glass desktop. Liquid polymer really bonds with the plastic desktop blotter I have now. Nothing sticks to glass.

Maneating Plant

I'm remaking a piece because I didn't like the way the first one came out. Sometimes I don't like the second one, either, We'll see.

Cygnet

Swans are awful. Flamingos too. Anything with a long neck has to have a wire run through it for strength. It's hard to make a smooth, curvy neck when I have to work around a wire. I often end up rejecting them. This is based on one of my favorite fairy tales from childhood.
