The Dodo was a character in "Alice in Wonderland".It had already been extinct for 200 years.It probably wasn't hunting that destroyed the bird. They weren't considered tasty. Dogs, cats and pigs were imported . They ate the Dodos and their eggs. Dodos couldn't fly and had no defenses against these new predators.
