Ponies and Crayons

I'm working on My Little Ponies for now. One is a Trojan horse and the other is a bony pony.
Tonight is the cd release party for Hardcore Crayons. I made the statue in the jar for Jake. Looks pretty good.
The tomatoes are coming in and that makes me happy.

Shirley & Mice

My mom loved Shirley Temple so I grew up watching her movies. She was on TMC tonight. This is one of my favorite scenes. She was a dancing savant.
Today I finished mice and made a LandShark. Next I think I'll make dogs in a car.

Weddings

I've been working mostly on cake toppers. Here is a miniature cake. It took quite a bit of time. The shape of the cake was the hardest. Polymer clay doesn't want to be smooth ,crisp and hollow. I had to sand it, The flowers were easy but they took more time than you'd believe.
Penny and I discussed a Renaissance wedding themed one. I'm trying to come up with costumes that are doable and generic. I know that Renaissance fans are very particular about historical accuracy. Do men really wear tights? I'm thinking it'll be small enough that if the groom wore black with puffy sleeves, it wouldn't be apparent if he was wearing tights or breeches. Decisions, decisions.

Watson & Cats

Well, I'm rusty about writing here. Lets see-Watson actually wanted to be in these pictures. That's never happened before.
I've been selling for just under three years. I've sold 147 pieces on Etsy and a few in other ways. I have 1000 hearts on Etsy. I've made waaay more pieces than I've sold.Good thing that they're small or I'd have a serious storage problem. So my making is disproportionate to my selling.
Still.
I've never enjoyed anything so much in my life.
This will be a wedding cake topper with cats. There's lots of cake topper action on Etsy. People are willing to spend more on weddings. I make skeletons but I wanted variety. Maybe I'll make dogs.
