Pigeons, Whales and Music

We saw Cassidy's SMB band off in style at First Ave(THE place to play)Fortunately, he has another band, Omnitrigger.
Sandra Healy made a Passenger Pigeon for me. It's lovely and much better than the one I made.
My Saving Whales made it to the front page of Etsy this morning. I still don't know how to save a screen and now it's gone. I wouldn't have noticed except I got a couple of convos complaining that I put "don't go to the Gulf" or something like that under it. Oops! I was speaking for the whales. On the news at the time they were reporting that they were worried about the whales in the area. Oh, well, I'll convo them back. At least I widened my audience.

Stuff

Well, I've been doing everything except blogging. I've had a few failures lately but there are no pictures of them. I guess my reach exceeded my grasp. The weather is perfect, which means that we're in Minnesota fall. Jim played the 331 Club on Wednesday. Tonight we'll go to the Riverview Cafe in Minneapolis where he'll play. Sunday we'll go to see Cassidy's band play at First Ave. It's a musical weekend. I would have liked to see Lady Gaga on Monday night, but I didn't want to spring the serious cash for decent tickets.
I'm making a man and dog made of vegetables.I'm a fan of the works of Guiseppe Arcimboldo.
I'm reading "My Year of Living Biblically".It's very entertaining.

The Beatles

Yesterday the local Minneapolis radio station played Beatle songs to commemorate the 1966 Beatles concert here. The next night they played St. Louis and I went with my cousin. Best day ever(except for your birthday, Jamie)
I couldn't find any decent footage of anything done in '66, so here is a video of their 1965 tour. On August 29th, 1966 they played their last large concert, ever, in San Francisco at Candlestick Park. Things had gotten too crazy, they said.
I was very lucky.

Dog& Frog

Happy first birthday to Watson Jones.
Watson is such a smart dog. He didn't want to wear the hat to have his picture taken. He kept shaking his head to get it off. I sat him down and told him he would get his snack after I took a couple of pictures. He seemed to understand because he cooperated after that.
Good boy. Have a cow ear.
