Two Women

Last week I thought Truman might die. The surgery was very hard on him. I cooked for him and would check to see if he was breathing. He's doing better now.
I'm finding that working on two pieces simultaneously works better than one at a time. It gives me space to judge if I am happy with what I've done so far. One will be Susan Boyle if it works out. Portraiture is not my strong suit.
During the French Revolution there was a style among the aristocrats of wearing a red ribbon around the neck to symbolize decapitation of their friends. I mention that because I remembered it when I wanted to give my masquerade some kind of necklace.
